AXENT wins the German Innovation Award 2018 Gold

The winners of the first edition of the German Innovation Awards were honored at a festive gala at the Technology Museum in Berlin on June 6, 2018.

 

The AXENT XT Smart Bathroom Cabinet was recognized as the winner in the category of Excellence in Business to Consumer.

 

The German Innovation Awards were developed by the German Design Council to fill a gap in the award scene. The aim of the competition is to identify significant and strong product innovations. Six hundred and fifty participants applied for the award, including industry giants, hidden champions and start-ups. They all have one thing in common: a solution, an innovative detail or a service that adds real value.

“We are very impressed by the quality of the submissions we have received,” says Andrej Kupetz, CEO of the German Design Council, who sees innovation as a decisive factor in being promoted in the global marketplace. He is convinced that companies will benefit greatly from the competition because the awards represent valuable communication measures. The aim of these awards is to shed light on the great efforts that companies invest in improving their products for the end user and to promote their innovative power within the industry, in professional circles and in the media.

Prizes are awarded to innovations that have a long-lasting impact. The German Innovation Awards are not based on novelty alone, they identify and honor the innovations that can demonstrate added value for the consumer. Even if you are concerned with the details of an understandable solution, a radical focus on consumer-oriented features and the human individual must be at the heart of your efforts. As Kupetz explains: “This approach is particularly successful when future consumers are involved in the product and its design development. Many companies have realized this and are now using special methods to integrate the end user into the development process in order to create an optimal product that is successful on the market and stands out from the competition.
